This is the second of our FAQ General Insurance pages.  Here at Premium Choice we have recognised that vehicle insurance can seem confusing to many people.

How can I pay for my Premium Choice policy?

We know that the cost of insurance can be onerous.  That’s why we offer a range of easy payment options. You can choose to pay for your insurance in any of the following ways:
  • Full payment - a one-off payment by debit or credit card for the full 12 month period of insurance.
  • Part-payment plan - where two easy payments by debit or credit card are made.  The first is a 20% deposit, with the remaining balance being settled within 30 days of the policy inception date.
  • Monthly payments by direct debit – We require a minimum payment of 20% deposit by debit or credit card, followed by 11 equal monthly instalments via direct debit.

How can I renew my policy?

You will receive a renewal invitation before your policy expires.  This will normally give you 2-3 weeks to respond.  Please see our Existing Insurance Customers page for more information or call our Existing Business Department on 0845 073 7420 (office hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 8pm, Saturday 9am – 3pm)

Can I renew my policy if I haven’t yet received my renewal invitation?

Yes.  We will be happy to review the market for you to ensure that we can offer you the cheapest possible insurance.

Do you have a breakdown service?

Breakdown cover is normally available on most policies although this depends on your individual circumstances and what cover you chose at the time of starting your policy. We have a fantastic breakdown scheme provided by The Rescue Service. It is available from as little as £39.99 a year including home start cover.  Please speak to one of our trained advisors for more details.

I’ve had an accident what should I do now?

Call the Premium Choice claims department on 0845 674 0070. In the event of an accident try to gather as many third party details as possible. Try to obtain things such as:
  • The other party’s insurance company details
  • Their vehicle registration
  • Their home address or the address where the car is registered
  • Their phone number

I have several penalty points on my licence, am I eligible for cover?

We have access to many policies from a large panel of insurers. This allows us to try and find you the best deal, whatever your personal circumstances. Call us on 0845 073 7400 you may be surprised at what Premium Choice can find you.
